Bridge Builders to the New Generation
Bridge Builders to the New Generation is a nonprofit based in Antioch, CA. This organization is dedicated to providing a foundational bridge that takes underserved youth to an inclusive, nurturing, safe environment where they will learn skills necessary to excel in college, career, and life. Bridge Builder professionals take pride in empowering youth to live a productive life by providing a chance to grow and strengthen exceptional educational, social, vocational, and independent living skills.
I created social media posts for two series in their I Wish I Would Have Known program. In this program, Bridge Builders invited professionals in the community to share their wisdom, knowledge, and what they wish they had known with students.
Graphics for I Wish I Would Have Known Series 3: Career Edition
Bridge Builders to the New Generation believes in normalizing career paths as much as college, therefore this series highlighted the different career paths available to students. I designed infographics, flyers, images through Canva to inform and educate students on apprenticeship, entrepreneurship, and real estate. To view my work please visit my subpage by clicking here.
Captions for I Wish I Would Have Known Series 4: Mental Health Edition
Bridge Builders to the New Generation understands the importance of building mental health strengthening habits. For this series, I created the captions. I researched relaxation exercises and activities, resources, and formatted the content to be easy to read and attractive. To view my work please visit my subpage by clicking here.
I Wish I Would Have Known Series 5: Adult Life - Mental Health Deep Dive
I took over all aspects of creating the social media content for one week. I edited the videos, crafted the captions, designed the graphics for posts and for the story, and manually uploaded all of the content.
While managing and orchestrating the content for Bridge Builder’s Instagram account, the engagement rate per post increased by 10% and received 33% more content interactions. This series covered the broad topic of Adult Life and I decided to dive deeper into mental health and wellness and build upon the previous series. I researched mental health and wellness therapists and organizations that focused on people of color and I composed posts with affirmations, mindfulness exercises, and other resources.
